In Madden 25, having a great tight end can make life much more difficult for the defense. They are more like large receivers, impacting playbooks significantly. For players looking to upgrade their favorite teams, these are the best tight ends in Madden 25.
1. Travis Kelce
Travis Kelce is not only the best tight end but also deserves his spot in the 99 club. He is also the only tight end to join the 99 club in the modern game. He has numerous impressive Attributes in his General category, including a 99 rating in his Awareness, and a 97 rating for both his Stamina and Injury Attributes. The higher the Injury rating, the less likely a player is to get injured during play. Travis Kelce’s Superstar X-Factor ability is called Double Me. When he enters the zone, he will see an increase in the rate at which he receives aggressive catches against single coverage, making him a one-on-one juggernaut on offense. No matter how many Madden Coins it costs, getting him into your Ultimate Team feels worth it!
2. George Kittle
George Kittle is one of the funniest and most wholesome players in the league. He's also one of its top tight ends. With over 1,000 yards receiving last year, he had a good year, so he got a 98 OVR. He only has four ratings in his General Category over 90, but both his Awareness and Toughness are almost rated at 99 — with them being 97 and 98 respectively. George has the Superstar X-Factor ability YAC ‘Em Up, along with the Short In Elite ability. He will also be able to use the Superstar ability Short Out Elite, making Kittle a key piece of one of the NFL's best teams.
3. Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews is an incredible talent with nary a weak spot. Physically overpowering, fast, with great awareness, and receiving stats that outpace most receivers in the league. He's also a solid run blocker, with slightly higher run blocking stats than the average tight end. He has a total of five attributes, over 90 of which are in his general category. Mark Andrews is not just a Superstar player, he is a Superstar X-Factor player. This means he will have access to a very powerful X-Factor ability YAC ‘Em Up in addition to regular Superstar abilities, such as Mid In Elite, TE Apprentice, and Matchup Nightmare. This is an X-Factor ability that only the best receivers have access to.
4. T.J. Hockenson
T.J. Hockenson is a tight end for the Minnesota Vikings. He only has two Attributes in his General category with a rating above 90. These are 90 in Stamina and 93 in Awareness. Stamina will let him sprint for longer before getting tired, and Awareness will decide how well he can react during different plays. However, T.J. is a Superstar player with the Short In Elite ability, but he also has the Mid In Elite ability. This gives T.J. a lot of coverage for the same kind of ability. This can be amazing with the right offensive playbook.
5. David Njoku
David Njoku is a potent threat in the passing game. With incredible physical ability (95 jumping!) and great fundamentals, there isn't really a weak spot to him. Besides Catching, he has three Attributes in his General category that are above 90. David is a Superstar player, which means he will have access to some Superstar abilities. In David’s case, these are TE Apprentice and Short In Elite. With the right team around him, Njoku has the potential to be a player the defense has to gameplan around.
