I DISAGREE APOLOGETICALLY TO THE QUOTE BELOW

*MY DISAGREEMENT*
It was the same God who created the heavens that created the earth.
We're not here by chance because we're not afterthoughts.
God expects us to develop the earth - get married, have children, build houses, factories, industries, churches (worship centres) and he expressly commanded: *"be fruitful and multiply"*.
Genesis 1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, *"Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."*
It was this same God who said the rapture would take place some time in the future. He only admonished that we should live in this earth righteously and in holiness, while we're fulfilling his first mandate to explore the earth
This mindset that because of the rapture we should live without aspirations impoverishes and is religious deceit, which has reduced Africans and those with such mindset to poverty and unproductivity - sufferings - self inflicted
May I add, God has a reason for creating us, and he gave us both spiritual *(heavenward)* and physical *(earthly)* responsibilities if we fail in either, he'd be highly displeased with us.
Therefore, as we pray, praise and worship God, building worship centres, God expects us to build industries and factories, if for no reason, it is to advance development and prevent us from *"sapa and japa"* to people like us living the good life on earth
Closing: The proponents of *"because of rapture, discard the earth"* if not them, their children are in the advanced countries and they often join them to enjoy the good life, God created - read Genesis 1:31:
*"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."*
Truth remains, our inability to make good living, makes us to settle for less and no better place to find such succour than religion
