DON'T KILL YOURSELF
(Honey where are you)
"Don't kill yourself because of your husband (wife)" Anonymous
LIFE IS UNFAIR
This life is not fair.
Deal with everyone with care. To avoid disappointment.
I recall a few years ago, my friend narrating how a man lost his life trailing his wife. He asked; "what was he doing at her shop?" Because death met him there (I'd leave out the details). Another exclaimed; "I can't kill myself because of her".
Sad still, there are a lot in the news of people killing themselves because of others, ranging from heartbreak to infidelity. I read of a young lady who killed herself because her boyfriend jilted her. Another woman with four kids, ignited herself to death because her husband threatened to divorce her for another woman.
DON'T KILL YOURSELF
I'm not here to tell you of those already dead by suicide but to warn you not to go that route. I recall as an only child, my mother made it clear to me, that she'd not kill herself because of me and clearly pointed me to Jesus as the only one that can help me. Summarily, she said:
"You'd bear the gains and pains of your actions and inactions. So never live your life to please anyone. Above all, DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO RELEGATE YOU".
I never liked my mum for one attribute, which was, always warning me truthfully and fearlessly. My mother never showed me fear and when I sulk, she'd responded contrary that she's got her life to live and I can't spoil it Yet she sacrificed all for me till death, living her life!
HOW YOU KILL YOURSELF BECAUSE OF OTHERS
1. Getting worried what they're doing in your absence.
2. Monitoring their every movement.
3. Scrolling through their handsets.
4. Questioning everything they tell you.
5. Over attachment to people
6. Lack of self confidence
7. Believing a leopard can change their spots - knowing someone is a cheat, dubious and wicked. But still deciding to maintain a long term relationship with them.
8. Trusting with eyes closed and senses blocked - infatuation misconstrued for love
9. Overdependence and reliance on others for sustenance, when you have hands, legs and brains.
10. Accepting nonsense, rather than rejecting same.
11. Keeping quiet, when you should speak up.
12. Being over assertive - always trying to prove your point.
13. Perfectionist, always trying to correct. Learn to overlook or correct without drawing attention to yourself. Allow others breathing space. You may be the boss but certainly not God!
14. Stop playing God because only God understands the hearts and thoughts of men. So bothering yourself with what others are thinking or thoughts about you, is self destructive.
I remembered telling someone, no one is looking at you. Don't live your life on such assumption. Truth is, how often do we spend our time looking at others. It's share waste of living believing others are looking at you. That's not to say your lifestyle is not being observed by others but don't imprison yourself on what others think of you.
"Honey where are you?" If you continue to weary yourselves where your "honey" is, hbp awaits you and not too long, you'd be 6ft below. By then, "honey" would continue their lives.
God sent me to warn and warm you.
