The Scarcity of Truth
Truth is said to be bitter and, as such, mostly avoided. People actually prefer to be lied to and deceived. Are you surprised?
If you do not like the truth, it means that you have opted for the lie. If you don’t want to hear the truth, it means that you prefer to be lied to. It's not an insult. It's being real.
When Jesus stood trial before Pilate, He said, "...Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”"
John 18:37 NLT
In response to this word, Pilate sarcastically asked “What is truth?”
To Pilate, truth was relative as with a lot of people today. They will tell you, "It depends on how you see it."
Truth always remains truth wherever and whenever it's spoken. The truth in the north is the truth in the south. Location does not change the truth.
The Word of God, the Bible, is the truth that has been established. It has endure persecutions, hatred, criticisms, rejection, and so on, but it still remains the truth.
There are theories that have been adjusted because further studies or research has not supported them, but the Word of God endures forever.
The Scarcity of Truth can be said to exist because people reject, hate, despise, criticize, and persecute the Word of God. They prefer the lies of Satan and are ready to believe those lies.
Satan's lies always look attractive and innocent on the surface. The harm may not be apparent, but the result is always disastrous.
Are you willing to accept and believe the truth of God's Word, or are you more comfortable with the lies of Satan? It's a choice.
As an advocate for the truth, I would like to encourage you to buy the truth, and when you do, don't sell it.
"Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment."
Proverbs 23:23 NLT
It's when we get the truth that we can talk of wisdom, discipline, and good judgement. Without the truth, there is no wisdom. A life of discipline is far from liars. Of course, a liar does not know and can not give good judgment.
Be determined to be a proponent of truth, promote the truth, and advocate for it. If we do, then there will be no scarcity of the truth.
Finally, truth is a Person. If you have not embraced Him, you will be deprived of the truth. He is Jesus. He declared, "... I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
Jesus is the cure to Scarcity of Truth. He is the only Truth who can turn a liar into a person of truth and integrity. Why don't you allow Him to be your Lord and Master and deliver you from lies of Satan.
Jesus is waiting for you!
